3 secrets for stress relief

3 secrets for stress relief

People often ask me what they can do to relieve stress and anxiety. I believe it is a delicate mixture of looking inward and embracing the external. With practice, you will see that the world is an expansive place and over-stress is simply a by-product of clinging to closely at the self. Stress can be eased and diminished simply by creating new habits in our internal and external daily experiences that promote compassion, kindness, and {what I call} interconnection wisdom.

1. 100 thoughts of gratefulness
Create a beautiful habit during your day by cultivating gratefulness at even the most mundane interactions, experiences, and objects. Mentally & interactively give thanks to others, develop the actually feeling and compassion in your heart as you pass by or interact with others.

2.  Release 10
Never underestimate your belongings. Stuff can create many unnecessary stress. Clutter plays a part on your stress even when your not near it! If you don’t use it, lose it {donate, sell, give away to friends}. Release 10 things that don’t serve you what so ever. Do this until you have only what truly serves you and others. You will actually feel a difference!

3.  Peace Breath
The breath can be our greatest friend. It tells us a lot about our emotions and how the body is reacting to the constant flow. Have you ever been nervous, scared, angry, or upset? Did you notice how the breath tightened up, became quick, shallow and irregular? By developing a better relationship with the breath we can learn how to use it to during our day in moments that are stressful and unpleasant.

peace breath technique ::  This can be practiced anywhere. Imagine everything you see & interact with is surrounded by a lightly glowing energy {this is peace!} Now breathe in this energy and imagine it melting away stress, worry, and anger. Use this in unlikely situations as a means of developing peace and relaxing stress.
